There are mainly 3 types of investors and they are:

  1. Institutional investors.
  2. non-institutional/ high net worth individual.
  3. Retail investors.

there are different kinds of investors with varying financial Power.

  • Individual Investors: An Individual Person investing in Securities is considered to be an Individual investor. It is further divided while applying for an IPO.

  • Retail Investors: Individuals who can apply for IPO of an amount of less than ₹1 Lakh.

  • High Net-worth Individuals(HNI): Individuals who can apply for IPO of the amount of more than ₹1 Lakhs.
