Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse (FWB), the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, operates Xetra, a trading technology platform. It allows you to trade stocks, ETFs, bonds, warrants, and commodities contracts electronically.
The Xetra trading venue, which was founded in 1997, currently handles the bulk of all trades in Germany: it now handles more than 90% of all share trading across all German exchanges, making it the largest of Germany’s seven stock exchanges. Furthermore, Xetra handles around 30% of all exchange-traded fund (ETF) trading in continental Europe.
