To be admitted to IIM Calcutta, a general student must have a minimum percentile of 85, with a minimum of 80 in VARC and DILR and a minimum of 75 in QA.

A non-creamy OBC and a candidate from an economically disadvantaged section must have an overall percentile of 75, a VARC percentile of 70, and a QA and DILR percentile of 65.

SC candidates must score at least 70% overall, with a minimum of 65 in VARC and 60 in Quant and DILR.

An applicant from a minority (ST) group should have an overall percentile score of 65, with a minimum of 55 in each section.

Candidates for PwD (Physically Weak and Disabled) must have a minimum percentile score of 55, with a minimum of 45 in each section.
However, this does not guarantee a place on the interview shortlist. They give the CAT score a 56 percent weightage when shortlisting for the second round, a 10% weightage to class 10 marks, a 15% weightage to class 12 marks, and a 4% weightage to gender diversity.
