MDI Gurgaon is one of the top premier B-schools in India. They are considered part of the top ten B-schools in the country, and their final placements indicate the same.

Although recruitment through Pre-Placements Offers (PPO) and lateral processes for students with prior work experience can happen until least a fortnight before the Final Placements, this procedure is generally undertaken in February.

The placement process of MDI Gurgaon consists of the following stages -

  • Leadership Talks

It is a platform through which the recruiters and business leaders interact with the students throughout the year. This is the first interaction, and companies make the impression of the batch through these interactions.

  • Invitation

Companies are being invited for the placements, and the batch profile of candidates are being shared with the company.

Based on profiles, the companies decide what job roles the batch should offer.

  • Pre-placement talk

Companies conduct an interactive session with the students. Here, companies talk about their visions and goals.

They also talk about the job role they are offering and career prospects.

After the pre-placement season of the MDI Gurgaon, the whole process starts now. The following are steps-

  • Applications

Based on the perception generated by the companies during pre-placement, the students are allowed to send their applications for the roles offered by the companies.

  • Ranking

Based on job role, location, students application count, all companies are being ranked, and based on that rankings, companies are invited for the placements on campus.

  • Selection process

The selected companies come on the campus. The candidates apply for the company by submitting their CVs or applications.

The company then shortlists the candidates based on their profile initially.

The shortlisted candidates then go through different placement processes like group discussion (GD), Panel discussion (PD), Technical and HR Interviews.

Some companies also organize aptitude tests, case studies, and assignments for the placement process.

  • Final selection

Based on the pre-decided criteria and scores of the selection process, the companies shortlist or select the candidates for the job profile.

The selected/shortlisted candidates are then shared with the job offer letter for further process.
