What is the career progression in the field of operations?

The initial position in the company would start as an Agent or a production processor in the company. With a certain work experience, candidates generally are shifted to supervisory roles wherein they are in charge of a team of few people and have to manage them. Supervisors are promoted to become Assistant Managers where they are head of multiple teams leads and their job is to ensure that the team’s function in a proper manner and the team leads are in sync with the organizational Goals. After a few years, an Assistant Manager is promoted to an operations Manager where as per the industry or services, they are responsible for the proper functioning of the units and ensuring maximum efficiency methods are implemented and desired results are achieved. An operations Manager then moves on to the Senior Management of the company which is a more strategic role and is responsible for the Strategies and policy making decision. The highest position they hold is generally Director of Operations of a particular business Unit and may level up to the top management of the company.
