Non-Cumulative Preferred Shares
If the preferred stock is non-cumulative, the issuing company can resume preferred dividend payments at any time, with disregard to past, missed payments.
If they are non-cumulative, this means that if a dividend is not paid, then it does not roll forward - the right to this particular dividend is lost forever.
