What Is Casual Leave?

Casual leave is given to employee to attend sudden and immediate social and/or personal obligations, or obligations like sister’s wedding, relatives death, children education obligations (Children’s admission in school, Parent Teacher’s meet) or applying for personal needs like Income Tax Returns, Passport, Ration Card, and Court Proceedings Etc.

Casual leave is not linked to the number of days worked and is usually fixed. The eligibility is decided by the company and it can also decide whither excess leave can been cashed or not. In all most all companies’ casual leave cannot be accumulated and carried on in next year and a person can take a maximum of 3 C Ls together.
Casual Leave: These leave are granted for certain unforeseen situation or were you are require to go for one or two days leaves. In case of casual leave normally company’s strict maximum to 3 days in a month. In these case either the person has to take the permission in advance or has to be regulated on joining.

Casual are the ones which are provided for urgent or unforeseen matters to the employees. Sick leaves are provided in case the employees get sick. Earned leaves are generally planned leaves which are taken with well in notice to the employer.
Certain amount of annual leaves can be carried forward in the next year. Casual leaves are other set of leaves that you are entitled to receive in a year which is again based on you company policies. Casual leaves lapse by the end of the year if unconsumed. Weekends are always excluded.
