What are the similarities and differences between Palantir and Tableau?

Palantir and Tableau are not the same. Palantir’s roots are in huge data computers science challenges such as security, payments, and fraud detection. PayPal, the CIA, and others are among its customers and investors. Tableau is a visualization player, with roots in Stanford University Research. Its Visual Query Language (VizQL) allows users to build visualizations on top of the standard data warehouses or spreadsheets.
