The primary role of a Quality Assurance Manager is to help develop and benchmark quality standards of products that are produced in manufacturing. The product after its final stage and before reaching the consumer is checked by the QA manager to ensure that the set quality standards are followed. He checks whether the products are safe to use, according to industry standards, and are uniform. The QA manager is a senior position and leads a team of various quality control inspectors and specialists. The roles and responsibilities are:
• Designing Quality control guidelines for the products produced in the manufacturing unit.
• Initiating training sessions for the quality inspectors and also for workers in order to make them realize the standards to be followed.
• Conducting random checks of the products from random batches to check the standards
• Examining the operational data and checking for deviations as against the set standards
• Developing strategies to minimize quality deviations in order to achieve superior quality with a high level of efficiency.
