The following are some technical questions that an interviewer may ask a candidate with a Civil Engineering degree:
- Comment on: The Brick is red.
- Describe MSL
- How do you intend to apply what you’ve learned in Civil Engineering to what you want to do in your MBA?
- Which AUTOCAD, CATIA, and SOLIDWORKS software have you worked on, and how have you used them in your major, minor, and work experience? (If applicable)
- Discuss metallurgy and its prospects.
- What do the terms “strength” and “toughness” mean?
- Discuss two nuclear power plants in India and two outside of India, and do you believe the IAEA’s signings are biased and favor a select group of countries?
- How does the construction of an earthquake-resistant building differ from that of a regular building?
- What, in your opinion, could be done to make Mumbai a well-planned city like Chandigarh? Also, highlight some of the difficulties that one is likely to face.
- Using a stress-strain curve, explain the fatigue of brittle and ductile material.
