India’s GDP is now about $2.8 trillion and is likely to surpass $5 trillion in the next years. It obviously illustrates the country’s growing capital markets. As the private sector expands, so does the opportunity for positions with disposable money. A tendency has emerged among prudent employees to spend their spare money in the stock market in order to increase their wealth quickly.
Stockbrokers’ remuneration
According to a survey done by a stock brokerage firm in 2019, the average monthly pay in stock market occupations has increased about fivefold in the last ten years. A stockbroker’s average annual remuneration has risen to Rs 5 crore.
Job Roles in Stock Market
Depending on the stock-broking business where you work, you can work as a personal financial counselor, financial manager, or financial analyst in the stock market. You may either establish your own business managing people’s portfolios or work for the stock exchanges if you have enough experience (i.e. NSE and BSE). Several leading stockbroking businesses, especially in major cities, frequently hire personnel with the necessary skills and expertise. Internships are also available for freshmen.
You must register with the Securities and Exchange Board of India to work as a stockbroker (SEBI).
