LogoutThe Essay writing section was reintroduced in the XAT exam after nearly 3 years. It was scrapped after 2018. In XAT 2022, the Essay writing section was included. The duration of the exam was increased by 10 minutes. The Essay writing section is clubbed with the General Knowledge Section and 25 minutes are allotted to the section. The scores of Essay writing are not included in the Overall percentile but only considered in the final selection of the candidate. The topics covered in the essay writing section are generally abstract or social topics and students are expected to write an essay ranging from 150-to 200 words. For reference to the topics asked, a candidate can refer to the topics asked in the past years’ papers. Some of the topics asked in the past years’ XAT paper are:
• Ethical Practices and Sustainability: Do they Co-exist?
• Globalization and Jingoism always Co-exist.
• Technology and Nature are natural enemies.
• Listening is a dying art. We hardly listen to understand. We only listen to refute or reply.
