When starting GMAT preparation many of us face problems narrowing down the books that we wish to use in our preparation. This list seeks to answer the problem faced by the test givers in choosing the right reading material for the GMAT examination. Hope this helps you. The list of books and reviews are as follows:

  1. Manhattan Prep- The book is quite extensive in topic coverage and gives the candidates a good overview of the examination pattern and syllabus. It is one of the most trusted brands when preparing for GMAT or GRE and has a long history of helping candidates. The sentence correction book offered by Manhattan Prep is the most widely recommended book for the section.

  2. Power Score critical reasoning bible
    The Powerscore critical reasoning bible is the one-stop solution to the critical reasoning section. It encompasses all the strategies needed to ace the Critical Reasoning section and provides plenty of solved examples to understand the concepts well

  3. Total GMAT Math by Jeff Sackmann
    The book is extremely well covered but can be a bit advanced for beginners or those out of touch with mathematics. For those starting from scratch, the Manhattan Prep material is better suited.

  4. GMAT Official Guide
    The official guide is irreplaceable and it provides the best coverage of any section if a candidate wants just one go-to prep material. Although it may seem a little rudimentary, the official prep is a good book to carry when starting preparation for the examination.
