Explain the United Nations Global Compact?

The United Nations Global Compact is built on ten principles that should determine a company’s value system and commercial style. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labor Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Concepts and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption all contain these principles. Members are encouraged to engage in particular business practices that help people and the environment while maintaining a high level of profitability.
