Criticism of Killer Bees

Many of the anti-takeover defense tactics used by killer bees are unpopular among shareholders. Making a target less appealing or more expensive to purchase has a history of eroding shareholder value and even hurting a firm for years.
The severe severity of some of these actions, as well as the fact that normal shareholders are sometimes unable to vote on them, has raised questions about their legality. Not all aggressive bids are out to make a fast buck by destroying businesses, and in certain circumstances, being taken over by one of them might be more financially beneficial to current shareholders.
