MBA candidates are more likely to take entrance examinations whose results are accepted by many business schools and colleges. Over 1000 institutions get the results of two national-level management exams. The Common Admission Test (CAT) and the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) are the two tests (CMAT).
Both tests are required for anyone applying to an MBA programme at an accredited university. However, there are significant distinctions between the CAT and the CMAT, particularly in terms of the complexity of the question paper. CMAT is thought to be a considerably less complicated exam than CAT. Despite this, the overall number of CAT exam takers is around three times that of the CMAT.
Exams should not be judged just on the basis of the number of students who appear in them; instead, look at the facts. See how likely it is that you might win your preferred seat in that tournament. Many more good universities accept CMAT scores as well. However, if you want to study MBA at one of the top ten universities in the country, CMAT is a better option than CAT.
1. The CAT is held significantly earlier than the CMAT. Because the CAT and CMAT syllabuses are so similar, applicants preparing for both tests will have more time to review ideas for the CMAT.
2. The percentile of all candidates is directly proportional to the total number of applicants. As a result, less competition leads to a higher percentile.
3. The CAT is regarded as one of India’s most difficult competitive tests due to the paper’s difficult questions. The CMAT paper, on the other hand, is made up of straightforward questions that are simple to answer.
4. The general difficulty level of the CAT paper ranges from moderate to high. Experts, on the other hand, assess the CMAT paper as easy to moderately difficult.
5. Because there are fewer applications, the CMAT has a lesser level of competitiveness than the CAT. Every year, between 60,000 and 80,000 people apply for the CMAT exam. The CAT exam, on the other hand, attracts around 2.4 lakh participants.
