CAT 2021 was conducted by IIM Ahmedabad. Each year one of the IIM conducts the CAT exam. It is a computer-based test. There were 3-time slots for the exam morning, afternoon, and evening. The duration of the exam was 120 minutes. The total number of questions was 64 to 66. It consisted of 3 sections Quantitative Ability (QA), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC). Each section duration was 40 minutes, number of questions in each section are -
VARC= 22 to 23
DILR= 20 to 21
QA= 22 to 23
Since there are 3 slots, each slot has a different number of total questions. There are both multiple-choice questions and non-multiple choice questions. The marking scheme of these questions is +3 for each correct answer and -1 for each wrong answer in the case of multiple-choice questions for non-multiple choice questions there is no negative marking for the wrong answer. You have to type down answers for NON-MCQ using the onscreen keyboard.
