A trade analyst is a financial services professional who works in investment banks, commercial banks, and hedge funds, among other places. He acts as a middleman between buyers and sellers, executing open market sales of securities, commodities, and other financial items. Each completed agreement earns him and his business a commission.
Education Qualifications?
Trading analysts are required to have a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a comparable branch of study in most cases. Analysts, on the other hand, are frequently required to acquire a master’s of business administration (MBA) degree in order to further their careers. Analysts must also be licensed to work in their respective states. However, the sort of license required differs based on where they work, the type of business they work for, and the type of work they do.
Skills required?
A competent trade analyst should have a certain set of qualitative skills in addition to a formal degree. Because this is a customer service-oriented position, he should be a good communicator. He must also be able to think rapidly on his feet, since he will be called upon to make key judgments on the go. Perhaps most essential, he needs to be meticulous. Trades happen in a flash. A missing decimal point or an incorrectly inserted zero can have significant and costly repercussions.
