5. How to tackle uncomfortable situations in Personal Interviews

There can arise a lot of situations that are uncomfortable, either to the interviewer or the applicant. The interviewer may ask a question that the interviewee is not comfortable to answer, or the interviewee may make a comment or a remark which the interviewer does not find appropriate. In such a situation, if former, the interviewee must make it clear to the interviewer, but not in a rude manner that he is uncomfortable with the question. He may use a sentence like, I am not comfortable in answering that question. In the latter, if the interviewee sense is that the recruiter does not want to answer the question, or is not comfortable with the question asked, he may retract the question by being humble. Further, he made the phrase the question in such a manner that it releases the tension and the question is framed better. However, in cases where the question is of a genetic nature but it still makes the interviewee uncomfortable, but if the question is important and the interviewers think that it is important for them to assess the applicant based on that question, the applicant must answer it and keep his answer as short as possible.
