Why we still focus on text ads while creating Display Campaigns?

This is a good question. Display ads are shown on different websites which come under Google Display Network (registered with Google AdSense). Let assume a website called Times of India, where an ad from Display campaign will be shown.

Advantage of having Text ad in Display ad group is that, you are giving system the advantage of testing another ad format (apart from JPEG, GIF). System will learn and test, which ad format works better for your campaign and targeting.

Another advantage of having Text ads in Display campaign is, you are not bound by the Ad Specs dimensions. In Resposive Display ads, where you use text ads, Google’s Algorithm picks up relevant combination of Headlines and description and fits itself into available ad unit. Hence ad pacing is not hampered.
