Which topics are likely to be asked in the Quantitative Ability section in Aptitude Section in TCS campus placement?

TCS conducts a three-stage selection process while selecting candidates through campus placements. Among them, the first stage is the Aptitude Test section which is an eliminatory round and consists of a written test as well as Coding Test. The written test consists of questions on Quantitative Ability and Logical Reasoning. There are typically around 20 questions and about 40-45 minutes are given to solve them.

Quantitative Ability is a tricky section and it has many topics to cover from. The most frequently asked questions come from some of the topics which include

  • Numbers
  • Time and work
  • Averages
  • Mixtures and allegation
  • Data arrangements,
  • Permutations and combinations
  • Ratios and proportions,
  • Profit and loss,
  • Time, speed and distance
  • Blood relations
  • Probability
  • Ages
  • Clocks
  • Sudoku

The questions are not that difficult to solve but given the time limit, it sometimes becomes challenging as time is limited. With enough practice and clear concepts, it is fairly easy to clear the Quantitative Ability section of the Aptitude test.
