What is the day to day job of a front end engineer at Amazon?

  • It’s a typical 9- to 5 job. We usually start with a 15-minute stand-up where we review the week’s tasks to ensure we are on schedule to complete them.

  • We go on member after member to review each other in order to check the progress.

  • If any clarifications are required, you may approach someone after the meeting to discuss your or their work.

  • There is a streak of 1 to 2 hours of personal work. Mostly it will involve writing code, while the other half will involve conjuring up logical models, report writing for our application’s information security, writing documentation, updating outdated surroundings or libraries, report writing for a production bug, and reviewing other teammates.

That’s about it.
