What is telegram marketing?

Telegram was created by Telegram LLC, a startup registered in Dubai. The mobile messaging app is currently used by more than 200 million people globally, and this number keeps growing exponentially every month. The app’s main advantage is its security and privacy settings — it allows users to communicate entirely offline (this way, it surpasses all other apps) or share their data only with the contacts given access to specific messages. Besides, users can save any message they get on their device and then send it later as a self-destructing message (for example, if you want to remind someone about something). On the other hand, the app has been criticized for not being free from bugs, but we have yet to find a bug that affects the actual work of the app.

Since it was created, Telegram has been compared to WhatsApp, but this is not fair. The two apps are entirely different regarding communication and privacy settings, and they each have their pros. For example, telegram users can create groups of up to 200 people in size (parents often use these groups for running a family business), while WhatsApp allows only one group per phone number. Besides, users should remember that the main principle behind every messaging service is making money on ads through paid subscriptions. Hence, it’s no surprise that Telegram recently started offering new subscription options like supergroups ($2/month), bots ($1-$5), and games (free-to-play). Telegram realized that they’re not the only player in this market, so now they have to keep up with WhatsApp, Viber, and other messaging services.

To sum it all up, Telegram is a step forward from any other messaging service, although it has a few issues. For instance, I would like to see messages sent through this app be encrypted by default (instead of being marked as ‘secret messages’). Also, users should be offered the option to either share their data or not. Right now, you can choose between these two options but not both, and I find it strange because there are situations when you might want to share your device location or address book contacts with someone without giving them access to your messages.

Some people say that Telegram has more bugs than its competitors, but I haven’t noticed any. That said, the number of Telegram users is rapidly growing, and that means more people will start using it with an increasing demand which naturally brings some issues along with it.
