Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a type of software that automates basic activities in software applications in the same way that a human would. The software robot may be programmed to follow a workflow or process with several steps and applications. Taking received forms, sending a receipt message, verifying the forms for completeness, recording the form in a folder, and updating a spreadsheet with the form name, the date recorded, and so on are just a few examples. RPA programming is designed to relieve workers of the burden of repetitive, simple activities.
