A map chart is used to show items on a background that is often, but not always, geographical. Map charts in Spotfire can contain different type of information in one or more different layers. Maps can contain interactive shapes or display markers of different types on an image or map background.
Following steps are used to create maps:

- Now it’s time to create a map chart, so select any cell within the data range, then go to the Insert tab > Charts > Maps > Filled Map.
