What are the further rounds conducted post the CAT exam?

After the results for the CAT exam is out, institutes send call letters for further rounds based on their eligibility criteria.

  • The first part of the process is floating of forms wherein the candidate has to fill in their personal details, educational qualifications, professional qualifications, details about their work experience, any internship or projects they might have undertaken during their undergraduation, awards, and accolades received, and extra-curricular activities.

  • This form should be filled up carefully and truthfully.

  • Some institutes conduct GDs (group discussions) before conducting PIs (Personal Interviews). There might be one or more than one round for group discussions.

  • Some institutes also conduct WAT (Written ability test) or case-based tests before they move to the PI rounds. The PI round is the final stage for selection into the business school post which every institute takes a month or two to declare their final list of selected students.
