What are the different phases in group discussion?

The first phase is orientation. The outline is created here, and the agenda is presented. Conflict is the second phase, in which players compete for one-upmanship, and it is here that the dominants emerge. The team learns to work together in the calm after the storm in the third stage known as Collaboration. Performance is the fourth step, in which the team works to reach a consensus, and Conclusion is the last stage, in which the findings are shared and summarised.
