What are some tips for making effective Pinterest Marketing Campaign? (Part 8)

  1. Don’t spend too much time thinking about it! Careful planning is undoubtedly essential if you want your pinning process to be effective - but don’t overdo it and try to be perfect here. Spend enough time creating quality content relevant for others on Pinterest (and or elsewhere online) and go from there if you have an opinion/question/etc. Then be sure to share - but always remember that when people see something they like, they will follow up with more of it (especially if they feel welcomed into a community). Even if you don’t have a large following, just having someone of any kind is better than nothing at all.

  2. Don’t be afraid to use Pinterest for branding purposes! Just because the main focus here isn’t on selling things doesn’t mean that you can’t make it work for your line of business either (if you’re looking to attract more customers/followers/etc.). Remember - most people will follow an account based on what they see, not what you say or do. So don’t feel like you’re wasting time by putting together boards that represent your organization and stuff like that. Regardless of whether or not anyone follows along with pictures about your company, there should certainly be some new info worth regularly seeing here - which will make more people interested in you (or your company) along the way. Now, if you’re trying to promote a specific product or service, try not to pin this as often as other things since it can become annoying for others who want to follow along with what’s going on.

  3. Don’t be afraid to reach out to others either! Whether it be with blog posts about others online, pictures of yourself posing with your favorite products/etc… you must get out there and interact with other people when possible, too - especially if they are interested in the same topics as you do. If they don’t know much about what you have going on, don’t hesitate to let them know through an effortless “pin” that you’re interested in the same (or similar) things as they are. You never know whether or not these people might have what it takes to take your business to new heights online, so it’s essential to consider just about everyone out there.

  4. Don’t be afraid of using others’ ideas if you can improve upon them! If someone has a great idea for something, don’t hesitate to make something more relevant/useful based on their work alone. Just remember - putting together an effortless blog post isn’t exactly easy - so show some respect by doing at least something original with what you see. This is also helpful when coming up with exciting pins that other people will enjoy reading/looking at. If you’re willing to share others’ content online, you should also be ready to add your own two cents when it comes to doing something new with the same idea.

  5. Don’t rush anything out either! Pinterest is all about putting together effective boards and pinning regularly, but do expect some rough spots here if this is your first time getting started with everything. Remember - people will notice how quickly/slowly things get updated around here, so don’t go overboard trying to impress them (or, even worse, forget about what’s going on). It can take a little while before things start working as they should for you or anyone else who isn’t used to seeing such things unfold, so it’s essential to make sure that you can get things moving along the right path without having to worry about any mistakes being made. Mistakes are going to be inevitable here - regardless of how much experience you have with Pinterest. Still, it’s certainly worthwhile to learn from them and overcome such hurdles as quickly as possible for more effective results in the long run.
