  1. Remember that Pinterest is a place where people can gather ideas and find creative content to share with others. You should never feel pressured into sharing any of your images just because someone else has done it! If you aren’t comfortable with how something looks, it’s okay to skip over it and move onto the next thing instead. The more unique your pins look, though, the more likely they will be seen by others as well.

  2. Pinterest allows you to see which images are the most popular. That means if you ever get stuck on what kind of image you should use, just look at your profile and see which ones have been clicked the most often so far! If you’re still stuck but want to change things up a bit, this is one great way to get some new ideas.

  3. Stay positive! Remember that Pinterest users like to browse through boards with a specific theme in mind - not read about how much work someone else had to do to create it all. Unfortunately, there will always be people who try to complain about other boards or pinners but don’t give them any attention even if they continue trying! Ignoring them will cause them to move onto a more positive board instead.

  4. When you pin content from someone else’s site, always include your link as well. Not only will this make it much easier for anyone who is following your profile to find out more about what you’re all about, it can be helpful for those who are still curious but don’t want the extra work of clicking on yet another website. If you start linking everyone back to yourself, though, people aren’t going to think of Pinterest as being very useful either! Always keep that in mind when deciding what links to include and where you should place them on an image - especially if there already is one there.

  5. Make sure that each time you post something new, you are tagging it appropriately. If the post is an image or a video, be sure that you have “Pinterest” listed in the tags so others can easily find it as well. This will help your post show up for anyone who has chosen to look at images of that type on their account!
