There's too much and a lot to study in Data Science. How should I prepare?

Just remember that in a corporate scenario, a data scientist doesn’t work on full data science project life cycle, but on certain parts of it. That is the reason why there’s a need of team. Going by this scenario, a company would be hiring a data scientist / analyst with skills specific to the roles to be filled in, plus someone who has idea about other skills. So in short, a jack of all and master of one!

Following would be your steps:

  1. List down your strengths and weaknesses
  2. Target companies that have your strengths as their requirements
  3. Meanwhile, pick one weakness at a time and every day just give around 20 mins of your best cognitive time to slowly tackle it. Don’t go hard on eliminating your weaknesses, but cut them slowly with time. Capitalize on your strenghts!
