LogoutHTML was a basic language for putting out text and images on a webpage, but HTML5 may be thought of as an application development platform that performs everything HTML does plus more, such as enhanced support for audio, video, and interactive graphics.
It offers a number of new features, including the ability to save data offline for apps and more robust exchange protocols. As a result, proprietary plug-in technologies such as Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight, Apache Pivot, and Sun JavaFX are no longer required, as browsers can now handle these components without any further needs.
