Is an MCA student equivalent to a Btech?

These are independent. And should not be compared.

MCA is academic after any bachelor’s degree.

B.E. is professional engineering degree.

In IT MCA is considered equivalent to B.E. But it is not higher., As some answers here.

Higher degree to B.E. would be M.E. or M.Tech not MCA or MCM.

In any case both degrees are worth having and later all depends on skills and attitude.

Initial days both degrees would land you up in similar job.
