How was the Management Interview experience for campus placement for TCS?

The management interview for a candidate is as follows:

  • The interview started by exchanging pleasantries and then the interviewer asked me to introduce myself.

  • The interviewer straight-dived into the question, why TCS?.

  • With a certain NGO experience on my resume, he asked Why TCS and not an NGO where you seem to be interested. After giving a proper detailed answer, he moved on and asked me

  • Where do I see myself in 5 years. I answered confidently what I had prepared and he seemed pretty convinced.

  • The interviewer stumbled upon me by asking what was my monthly expense. I took a second and answered it after which he asked about college lectures and learning in college.

  • The interviewer then asked about my approach to learning something new.

  • Having answered that question, I was asked what I expected out of TCS as a company and what growth I want to achieve while being at TCS. I answered the question as per the role offered and trajectory which I could see.

  • The interview ended here. It was about 20 minutes long.
