How to use Input Box in Excel?

A text box (input box), text field or text entry box is a control element of a graphical user interface, that should enable the user to input text information to be used by a program.

Below are the steps to create a new entry using the Data Entry Form in Excel:

  1. Select any cell in the Excel Table.
  2. Click on the Form icon in the Quick Access Toolbar.
  3. Enter the data in the form fields.
  4. Hit the Enter key (or click the New button) to enter the record in the table and get a blank form for the next record.
