How to Split Data in Tableau?

Data splitting is when data is divided into two or more subsets. Typically, with a two-part split, one part is used to evaluate or test the data and the other to train the model. One of the most common actions you will take when preparing data for analysis will be to split a column in to it’s sub-parts. This happens as data is picked up from operational systems, outputted as a unique ID for that record of data, or, squeezed together to fit in to a poorly designed database table.

It is an important aspect of data science, particularly for creating models based on data.
