HR is not as evolved and strategic in India as it is in industrialized countries.
With the exception of a few companies, HR is mostly a ceremonial position. They don’t play a significant role in strategic hiring or personnel development. As I previously stated, this is based on my experience working in businesses. Of course, there are exceptions.
HR in the United States, on the other hand, is very sophisticated. Human resource experts at companies like Walmart use data analytics to make strategic decisions about succession planning, goal management, performance appraisal, and variable compensation.
HR is in charge of the company’s culture, ensuring that the proper people are hired, kept, and paid based on data analytics.
Coming to India would take some time.
