How can one enter into product management role with no prior experience?

STEP 1
Lean Product Management: Affirmative, if you don’t ken the fundamental skills of a product manager, no company will operate to hire you. Have a good understanding of utilizer research, implementation, wireframing, quandary solving, and communication.

STEP 2
Update the industry you operate in: Predicated on your improvement, work experience, or fascinates, determine the drive to work in. It can be edtech, fintech, food tech, health tech, SAAS, crypto, or whatever.

STEP 3
Make a list of about 20 companies in that sector where you would optate to work: You can find these companies via expeditious google search, LinkedIn, naukri.com, angel list, etc. It will be much better if these companies are midsized so that you can reach out to decision-makers directly via email.

STEP 4
Integrate value: Suppose you were a product manager at these companies; how would you avail them in your first three months? Do a product tear down, do some utilizer research, integrate market research, and build a solid case of incorporating value to the product.

STEP 5
Communicate your analysis to company decision-makers: Now find emails from company decision-makers (CEO, CPO, CTO, etc.) and send them your research (done in step 4) along with a good exordium and why you’re zealous about working with them.

STEP 6
Reiterate for other businesses: Now follow these people up to three times (because diligent people can authentically miss work) and reiterate this process for other companies in the future.
