LogoutWhen it comes to hiring in the technological field, Amazon has extremely high criteria. A PhD in Machine Learning, Data Analysis, Statistics, or a related field is required to work as a Data Scientist. Your mathematical abilities will be just as important as your technical programming abilities. You have to be a seasoned programmer (Java,PHP,Python etc). Data mining, business intelligence tools (Cognos, BOBj, etc. ), ETL, statistical modelling, and strong analytical skills are all required.
If you don’t have a PhD, you need at least have a Master’s degree in the field. However, I have many years of experience in these disciplines and have managed large datasets.
For Bachelors, data scientists must have at least a Master’s degree, if not a Ph.D.
So do your homework and master the necessary skills to get started on the right track.
