Are AI and ML the same? If yes, how, and if not then why so?

Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning are not interchangeable terms. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science that focuses on creating machines that can think like humans and accomplish activities that would normally need human intelligence. AI is a static and hardcoded rule-based if-else programming input method.

M is a subtype of AI in which computers are not overtly or explicitly trained to do certain tasks, but instead, learn and develop on their own via experience. ML, unlike AI, is dynamic, meaning the rules aren’t predetermined and aren’t known ahead of time.
