What is AutoML?
In simple words: Automated Machine Learning.
AutoML automates the repetitive tasks of an ML pipeline which includes data pre processing, different algorithms, the right hyperparameters, right features and the right model.
Is it all a Data Scientist does? NO!
Data science is not a skill, it is all about the business.
It requires Data Scientists to know what buisness is, what the problems are, what does it require to make it a Data science problem.
What data is required, from where the data is required, the statistical analysis on it to get insights on it and so much more.
Moreover, is automation bad? Not at all! It is what is desired.
Automation improves productivity.
If a set of tasks can be done by a software in 3 hours, why would you need 3 people on it for 3 days?
So will those 3 people lose their jobs?
Why would they?
The industry changes, the business requirements change, new technologies keep on coming.
You have to be in line with the industry. Know the right skills which are in demand.
Automation is everywhere. And it’s important.
What matters is what skills do you learn to make yourself eligible for that job.
