AJAX allows you to update a portion of the page’s content without having to refresh the full page. This functionality is critical when a user needs immediate results without having to wait for a response to a request submitted by pressing the submit button. By using AJAX with fewer queries, the server load may be decreased, and bandwidth can be saved.
AJAX can be used to validate forms. The lightbox may be used instead of pop-up windows to sort and filter material in a tabular style, display results or votes using the chat application, and refresh captcha for authentication checks.
