When an interviewer asks you this behavioural interview question, they’re hoping to learn more about what drew you to become a data analyst and gain insight into your personality. Consider why you chose this field in the first place, and your answer will almost certainly come from the heart.
“I’ve always enjoyed numbers and knew I wanted to make a career out of them,” you could say. I enjoy computer science, but instead of sitting in front of a screen all day, I wanted to be able to engage closely with people and solve everyday problems. Working as a data analyst allows me to continue working with math.
