An Email Marketing Specialist’s primary responsibility is to deliver persuasive messages to customers or potential customers through mass email marketing campaigns and generally make use of email automation software to send out email blasts, newsletters and other relevant texts to establish the brand’s place in the competitive market and increase brand awareness. As part of this, they write engaging text that is used in these campaigns, ensure that the design and layout of the email is optimized and user- and mobile-friendly, compile and purge email lists, secure email databases for future campaigns, and are sometimes even put in charge of developing the strategy from head to toe, including the marketing tacts to ensure that the receiver is onboarded, engaged and retained as a customer.
