What do you mean by double trigger term in management?

In simple term Double Trigger is a clause that accelerates vesting when an employee is let go (without due cause) in an acquisition. Double trigger acceleration requires the occurrence of two events for vesting acceleration to occur. Typically, this is a change of control and either termination without cause or the employee terminates for good reason.
