What are the similarities and differences between Tableau and Palantir?

Palantir and Tableau are not the same. Palantir’s roots are in huge data computer science challenges such as security, payments, and fraud detection. PayPal, the CIA, and others are among its customers and investors.

Tableau is a visualization software company that has its roots in Stanford University’s research. Users may create visualisations on top of conventional data warehouses or spreadsheets using its Visual Query Language (VizQL).
