What are the roles and responsibilities of a Supply chain consultant?

A supply chain consultant determines the problems and needs of clients, proposes solutions, and provides multiple options for a client to select from to solve an issue related to supply chain or logistics. The detailed roles and responsibilities of a consultant are given below:

• Support and evaluate the client’s supply chain activity to ensure proper working of the supply chain.
• Meetup with clients and discuss regarding demand planning, stock reviews, and orders.
• Indulge in activities with relevant stakeholders in the process and try to improve the supply chain management of the company.
• Liaison with the external suppliers, vendors to ensure smooth operations for e-commerce delivery and maintaining inventory levels
• Seek, acquire and maintain new projects and suggest improvements on the current methods followed by the company.
• Conduct independent tests in the process essentially to find loopholes and suggest methods to solve them.
