What Are Killer Bees?

Killer bees are organizations or persons who help target companies escape being taken over by an undesirable bidder. Examples include investment bankers, accountants, attorneys, and tax specialists. Their duty is to come up with and implement anti-takeover defensive tactics, which usually entail making the target less appealing, or making acquisition more difficult or costly.
