Interview Rounds:
Round 1 - Aptitude Test:
Questions Asked: The first part was a versant test, which tests your communication skills. This took about an hour. If you clear this, there’s another test with three sections: Microsoft Excel, Accountancy, and Aptitude.
Your Approach: I focused on speaking clearly and confidently during the versant test. For the second test, I revised my basics in Excel, brushed up on accountancy principles, and practiced general aptitude questions.
Outcome: I cleared all three sections individually.
Round 2 - HR Round:
Questions Asked: General questions like introduction, background, etc.
Your Approach: I tried to be honest and give a clear picture of myself and my experiences.
Outcome: Passed this round.
Round 3 - Technical Round:
Questions Asked: Questions were based on my internships and my knowledge of accountancy.
Your Approach: I provided detailed answers based on my internship experiences and ensured I linked them to my accountancy knowledge.
Outcome: Passed this round.
Round 4 - HR Round (Director’s Round):
Questions Asked: Similar to the technical round, but they also tried to see how I handle pressure.
Your Approach: I stayed calm and answered confidently, even when they put me under pressure to see my reaction.
Outcome: Cleared this round as well.
Preparation Tips:
Be confident and if you’re nervous that’s okay too. During my first round of the interview (HR round) I ended up telling my recruiter that I was very nervous, and he helped me calm down! Can you believe that! That’s the culture Deloitte has!

Overall, my experience was positive. The interviewers were professional and understanding. I think what worked well for me was being honest and staying calm under pressure. I could have maybe prepared a bit more on detailed technical questions, but overall it was a great learning experience. If you’re applying for a similar position, just be yourself and don’t hesitate to show a bit of nervousness – it’s totally normal!
