Should you chose to learn R or Python in Data Science?

Python and R are both free and open-source programming languages that may be used on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. Both languages are capable of handling almost any data analysis task and are considered reasonably simple to learn, especially for novices.

When it comes to learning Python or R, there is no wrong answer. Both are in-demand abilities that will enable you to complete almost any data analytics work you come across. It will eventually come down to your experience, interests, and career aspirations to determine which one is better for you.

TIOBE, Stack Overflow, PYPL, and RedMonk, among other popular programming language indices, show that Python is far and away from the most popular language in the broader tech community.

Python is more suitable for:

  • Managing large amounts of data is a challenge.

  • Constructing deep learning models

  • Performing non-statistical tasks such as web scraping, database saving, and process execution.

R is a better option for:

  • Creating data visualizations and graphics.

  • Statistical model construction.

  • It has a well-developed ecosystem of statistical software.
