Selection processes in the sales and marketing career

When pursuing a career in marketing, any person should know that there are a few dos and don’ts for the same. He/she must firstly avoid lying in their cv. It is generally seen that various applicants mention things they have never done in their CV and then are unable to answer any queries directed at them during the interviews or any part of the selection process. Secondly, it is a good thing to be ambitious, but one must not forget that to move ahead in this field, one must also learn. He cannot proceed with half knowledge or merely academic knowledge on the subject matter without learning anything through practical training. He must not shy away from asking questions from his superiors and he should learn to take their advice. One must always be eager to read up about the markets and he should not be oblivious to the world around. It is often seen that applicants read up their books multiple times and memorise it by heart but are unaware of the burning issues around in their own economy. That shows that the student is not practically interested in the subject and is not observant about his surroundings and his field of specialization.
